The selection of the Weißburgunder for the next edition of the Rizal wine has begun, thanks to the efforts of Wilhelmsfeld Mayor Dr. Tobias Dangel, Knights of Rizal Wilhelmsfeld-Heidelberg Chapter Commander Mr. Herbert Ehses and Magkaisa Founder and long-time Rizalista Mr. Klaus Hartung, here with Consul General Marie Yvette Banzon Abalos.

Philippine National Hero Jose Rizal is known to have enjoyed the Weißburgunder from Schriesheim, a town close to Wilhelmsfeld in Baden-Württemberg, where Rizal stayed in 1886.
